Youth dies following clash between two families

A 21-year-old man lost his life after being assaulted during a dispute between two families in the Dharmarama Road area of Ratmalana.

Police report that the victim succumbed to injuries sustained from being struck with a cricket bat and wickets.

The conflict erupted near the railway line involving two neighbouring families.

Following the incident, authorities took six individuals into custody, including four women and two men.

The Mount Lavinia Police Criminal Investigation Division is currently conducting further inquiries into the matter.
