The Colombo Magistrate's Court ordered today (27) that the suspected high-profile underworld figure known as ‘Commando Salintha’ be remanded.
The suspect was previously held in the custody of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
CID officers produced the suspect before Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama in his official chambers under tight security.
During the proceedings, officials submitted a report outlining the progress of their ongoing investigations.
After considering the facts presented, the Magistrate ordered the suspect to be remanded until the 12th of next month.
Commando Salintha is named as a suspect in the murder of Ganemulla Sanjeewa.
