Kuwait Airways, the national carrier of the State of Kuwait, will recommence flight operations to Colombo from Wednesday, 15 April 2026, further strengthening air connectivity between Kuwait and Sri Lanka.
The service is expected to support growing travel demand while offering passengers greater convenience and improved access to Kuwait Airways’ expanding international network.
Flights will operate once a week, every Wednesday, according to the following schedule:
Departure from Kuwait at 01:30 hrs, arriving in Colombo at 18:05 hrs.
Departure from Colombo at 19:05 hrs, arriving in Kuwait at 03:30 hrs.
In addition to the launch, Kuwait Airways will offer a complimentary Saudi Arabia transit visa facility for eligible passengers, enhancing travel flexibility for those transiting through the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
To qualify for the complimentary transit visa, passengers must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a valid Kuwaiti residency (validity does not need to exceed three months)
- Possess a passport with a validity of more than six months
