Police took 585 suspects into custody yesterday (7) after inspecting 28,142 individuals during crime and drug prevention operations, according to the Police Media Division.
These special operations are currently being conducted at the divisional level, covering all police stations across the country.
Authorities arrested 4,301 individuals for traffic violations and other offences during these ongoing special missions.
Additionally, 69 suspects were apprehended for reckless driving and 128 for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Officers further secured the arrest of 20 individuals directly identified as being involved in crimes, along with 408 suspects wanted under open warrants.
The Police Media Division stated that these island-wide efforts, conducted under the instructions of the Inspector General of Police, continue to successfully target suspects linked to various criminal activities.
