The Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education, Nalaka Kaluwewa, states that activity books for Grade 1 terms II and III are scheduled to be distributed to all schools by the 30th of this month.
According to a statement issued by the Secretary, curriculum awareness and teacher training for Grade 1 have already been provided to provincial primary subject directors, teacher advisors, trainers, and teachers.
Furthermore, provincial directors received instructions to complete any necessary additional training by May 16.
The statement also notes that if any schools were unable to cover the Grade 1 Term I subject matter, principals will take steps to complete those portions during the upcoming second school term.
