Level 1 landslide early warnings issued

Level 1 (Yellow) landslide early warning notices were issued by the National Building Research Institute (NBRI) for several Divisional Secretariat divisions in two districts due to prevailing rainy weather.

The 'Watch' level alert was declared by the Landslide Early Warning Centre of the NBRI for specific areas.

The warning applies to the Rideegama Divisional Secretariat division in the Kurunegala district, as well as the Kuruwita, Kalawana, Ratnapura, Nivithigala, Pelmadulla, and Eheliyagoda Divisional Secretariat divisions in the Ratnapura district.
