Nearly 300kg of drugs set for destruction

Nearly 300 kilograms of narcotics, including heroin seized during raids by the Police Narcotic Bureau, are scheduled for destruction today (27).

The process will take place at the Lactowatta incinerator in Vanathavilluwa, Puttalam.

Police stated that the stock includes 22 kg 888 g of heroin, 33 kg 172 g of Kerala cannabis, and 247 kg 940 g of cannabis following the conclusion of legal proceedings at the Balapitiya and Chilaw courts.
