A Supreme Court judge stepped down today (27) from hearing an appeal filed by former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen regarding a court verdict on deforestation and resettlement near the Wilpattu National Park.
When the appeal was called for hearing, Justice A.H.M.D. Nawaz, Chairman of the three-judge bench, announced his withdrawal from the proceedings citing personal reasons.
