Vijay’s TVK crosses 100-seat mark in Tamil Nadu election trends

Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has crossed the 100-seat mark in Tamil Nadu, putting up a strong contest against both the AIADMK and DMK. Counting of votes for the Assembly elections is currently underway across the state.

With a triangular contest primarily between the DMK, AIADMK, and TVK, all eyes are on constituency-wise results, party-wise seat tallies, and leading candidates. Stay tuned for minute-by-minute updates, seat-wise results, and the latest counting trends from across Tamil Nadu.

TVK chief and actor Vijay is reportedly gaining strong support and leading in several constituencies, indicating growing voter backing. Meanwhile, senior BJP leaders are facing setbacks in their constituencies. BJP state president Nainar Nagenthran, contesting from Sattur, is trailing the DMK candidate by 909 votes.

To form a government, a party needs to secure at least 118 seats in the 234-member Tamil Nadu Assembly. In the 2021 Assembly elections, the DMK, led by MK Stalin, won 133 seats, while the AIADMK secured 66 seats.

According to most exit polls, including P Marq, Matrize, and Chanakya, the DMK is projected to maintain a lead with an estimated 120–145 seats. The AIADMK is expected to follow with 60–100 seats. However, one major poll predicted a surprise outcome, suggesting that TVK could emerge as the single-largest party.
