A suspect arrested for allegedly causing serious injuries to a woman trading at Vihara Maha Devi Park in Colombo by cutting her with a sharp blade was ordered to be released on two personal bails of 200,000 rupees each. Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodharagama issued the order yesterday (04).
The individual released on bail was a woman who also engaged in trading at the park. Cinnamon Gardens Police informed the court that the suspect cut the woman with a sharp blade following a heated verbal exchange between the two regarding a debt transaction. After considering the facts presented, the Magistrate ordered the release of the suspect on bail.
