Contaminated water sources identified in Deniyaya

Water sources supplying the Deniyaya town and local schools are reportedly unsafe for consumption.

Southern Province Director of Health Services N.G.S. Panditharathna stated that a team of specialist doctors, tasked with investigating a spreading viral illness in the area, confirmed the contamination.

Authorities took immediate steps to chlorinate the affected water sources to mitigate the risk.
