Rainfall exceeding 200 mm likely in several provinces

Very heavy rainfall exceeding 200 mm may occur in some places within the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as the Puttalam, Galle, and Matara districts, according to the Department of Meteorology.

Heavy rains of approximately 100 mm are also expected in certain areas of the Northern and North-Central provinces, and the Trincomalee and Kurunegala districts.
