Heavy rains over 100mm expected tomorrow

The Department of Meteorology says heavy rainfall exceeding 100mm is likely in parts of the Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces, and in the Galle and Matara Districts tomorrow (23).

It also noted that very heavy rainfall exceeding 200mm may occur in some areas of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North Western Provinces today (22).

In addition, heavy rainfall above 100mm is expected in parts of the Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya Districts, according to the department’s statement.
