Sajith demands debate over rupee depreciation

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa says that the Sri Lankan rupee is under severe pressure and claims the government has no clear plan or solution to address the issue.

In a post on his ‘X’ account, he further stated that he, along with other party leaders, met the Speaker requesting an urgent parliamentary debate on the country’s ongoing crisis.

He also stressed the need for honesty with the public and immediate action before the situation worsens further.
