The Cabinet has approved a proposal submitted by the Prime Minister to confirm the appointment of Chandani Sagarika Bogahawatta as an Additional Secretary to the Prime Minister’s Office.
Approval had been granted at the Cabinet meeting held on 2 December 2024 to appoint Chandani Sagarika Bogahawatta, a Grade I officer of the Sri Lanka Planning Service, to the post of Additional Secretary to the Prime Minister’s Office on a full-time acting basis.
The Public Service Commission subsequently promoted her to the Special Grade of the Sri Lanka Planning Service with effect from 1 January 2026.
