The implementation of the second phase of the Lanka Metro Bus project is planned as a solution to the existing traffic congestion in Kandy city.
Plans are in place to operate this service within four main roads along priority lanes, centring the Kandy Multimodal Transport Terminal built with World Bank assistance.
This project features modern facilities such as digital information systems, platforms providing easy access to buses, and smart card technology.
It aims to provide an efficient, safe, and convenient commute for all passengers while preserving the historical heritage of the city.
