'Commando Salintha' further remanded till July 16

Suspected underworld figure 'Commando Salintha,' interrogated while in custody of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), has been further remanded until July 16 by Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today (2).

The order was issued after CID officials presented a further report and made submissions before the court.

The suspect was produced before court via Zoom technology.

He has been named as a suspect in the shooting incident that occured inside court premises, killing 'Ganemulla Sanjeewa.'
