Kadawatha Police launched an investigation into a sharp weapon attack in Ihala Biyanwila yesterday (04) in which one person got killed and injured another.
Both victims were admitted to the emergency care at Ragama Hospital, where one person succumbed to his injuries. The Police informed that he is being identified as 54-year-old resident of Kadawatha.
Preliminary investigations indicate the incident followed a confrontation between the victim and two other individuals at his brother's birthday party.
Authorities arrested the primary suspect, and Kadawatha Police continue to search for the second individual involved.
