Further consideration of the petition filed by former Director of the State Intelligence Service Suresh Sallay, challenging his arrest and detention was postponed until July 17 by the Court of Appeal today (14).
The petition was filed challenging his arrest and detention under the Prevention of Terrorism Act in connection with investigations into the Easter Sunday terror attacks.
President's Counsel Sanjeeva Jayawardena, appearing on behalf of petitioner Suresh Sallay, made further submissions to the court when the petition was called today .
The court subsequently ordered further consideration of the petition to be postponed until July 17.
