Security is restored at the Mahara Prison premises and surrounding area, with the situation remaining peaceful.
Police Media Spokesperson Assistant Superintendent of Police Frederick U. Wootler confirmed the update.
However, the police curfew imposed on three Grama Niladhari divisions within the Ragama police division remains in force until further notice.
The police curfew applies to the Kendaliyadda North, Kendaliyadda West, and Dambuwa Grama Niladhari divisions in the Ragama police area.
