Peradeniya University reopens for academic activities on Monday

All academic activities of the University of Peradeniya, temporarily suspended due to adverse weather conditions, will resume from Monday, August 10, the university administration notified.

Students in university hostels have received permission to return to the hostels from Sunday (09).

The University of Peradeniya expressed its gratitude to all students, staff, and parents for the support extended by acting with understanding on the sudden decisions taken by the university during the adverse weather conditions in the past days.

All necessary arrangements are in place to conduct academic activities of the university from Monday.

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya, issuing a special statement, requests the continuous cooperation of the entire university community to establish normalcy.
