An individual who went missing around six days ago near Gale Pansala, Indolawatta, Ayagama has been found fallen into a precipice.
Under instructions of Deputy Minister of Defence Major General Aruna Jayasekara and under the supervision of Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Nilantha Premaratne, Army Commando Regiment soldiers were deployed in a special operation to retrieve the dead body of the individual, the Army said.
As of this evening, the Army team is climbing down the precipice with the help of ropes, reaching the location where the body of the individual remains, the Army mentioned.
