'Summitpura Chathu' brought from Oman handed over to CCD

Dimuthu Chaturanga, alias 'Summitpura Chathu', alleged organised criminal, was handed over to the Colombo Crime Division for further investigations, according to the police.

Following his repatriation from Oman to Sri Lanka, the Criminal Investigation Department arrested him.

He faces various serious charges, including aiding and abetting the assassination of alleged organised criminal Ganemulla Sanjeewa, possessing hand grenades, and drug trafficking.
