Youth drowns while bathing in Galpottahena Wewa in Eheliyagoda

A 22-year-old youth drowned while bathing in the Galpottahena Wewa in Eheliyagoda yesterday (22), Eheliyagoda Police say.

Police initiated investigations based on a message received by the police station, and the deceased is a resident of the Meegahawatta area.

Police say investigations revealed that the deceased faced this mishap while bathing in the Wewa along with four other friends.

Eheliyagoda Police are conducting further investigations regarding the incident.
