Yala blocks 1 and 2 to close temporarily due to dry weather

Zones 1 and 2 of the Yala National Park will be closed temporarily for tourists owing to the prevailing dry weather conditions.

The Department of Wildlife Conservation stated that the relevant zone sections will remain temporarily closed from the 14th of next month until the 15th of October.

It is noted that this measure is taken every year to ensure the safety of the ecosystem as well as the survival of wildlife in the face of intense heat caused by the dry weather.

However, the Department of Wildlife Conservation says that the remaining zones of the national park, which are not under severe pressure from the drought, will remain open.
