Chinese Defence Attaché meets Sri Lanka Navy chief

Senior Colonel Fu Xiao, the Defence Attaché to the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Sri Lanka, paid a courtesy call on Vice Admiral Damian Fernando, the Commander of the Navy, at Navy Headquarters today, 04 September 2026.

During the cordial meeting, Senior Colonel Xiao conveyed his best wishes to Vice Admiral Fernando on his appointment as the 27th Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy.

Their discussions focused on several matters of bilateral importance and longstanding cooperation between the two countries. To mark the significance of the occasion, mementos were also exchanged between the two dignitaries.
