Daily electricity demand drops while generation rises

Daily electricity demand declined while daily power generation gradually increased between August 31 and September 3, according to a report by the Central Bank.


Peak electricity demand, which stood at 2,947 megawatts on August 31, fell progressively to 2,920 megawatts by September 3.


Total daily generation was maintained between 57 and 58 gigawatt-hours during this period, with the highest daily generation of 58.37 gigawatt-hours recorded on September 1.
