Showers forecast in several provinces today

The Department of Meteorology forecasts Showers in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts.

Rain or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Uva and Eastern provinces and Mullaittivu district after 2:00 PM.

The department requests the public to take necessary precautions to minimise damage caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thundershowers.
