La Bamba! The Song of Veracruz, presented by City of Dreams Sri Lanka and the John Keells Foundation, opens in Colombo today, marking the arrival of a West End licensed musical production in the city.
The show will run from April 24 to April 27 at Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams, with multiple performances scheduled during its limited engagement.
Presented in collaboration with Paul Morrissey Ltd, the production is led by West End producer Paul Morrissey and his team, bringing international creative direction and staging to Colombo. The show features a cast of international performers alongside Sri Lankan talent selected through auditions, supported by live musicians and a full technical crew.
Blending Latin inspired music, energetic choreography and contemporary storytelling, La Bamba! delivers a large-scale theatrical experience centred on themes of ambition, identity and cultural heritage.
