Cement prices increased

Consumer Affairs Authority has approved to increase prices of two locally manufactured cement by Rs. 30.

The Chairman of CAA, Hasitha Tillekeratne said the price revision is effective from last Wednesday and now the revised price of a 50kg local cement bag is Rs. 960.

The CAA said that the cement manufacturers have requested for a price revision citing rising import cost on raw materials.
