Postal symbol to be changed

World Postal Day falls today.

Post Master Ranjith Ariyaratne told the Hiru News Division that arrangements will be made today to change the postal symbol which remained the same up to now.

The Postmaster said that the circular symbol in red depicting a pigeon carrying a missive will take on a new shape from today onwards.

The relevant official symbol is due to be launched at a function to be held today.
