Province Governor Lalith U. Gamage stated that several schools in the Hatton area of ​​the Central Province and Kandy - Akurana as well as Mahaiyawa areas were not opened today.

He told the Hiru news team that this was due to the reports of several coronavirus infected persons in these areas.

The provincial governor also stated that the principals will take action to reopen the relevant schools after ensuring health guidelines and facilities.
