Event organizer Chandimal Jayasinghe and actress Piumi Hansamali have been arrested

Police Media Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana stated that they were arrested by the Fort Police for organizing a birthday party in a five-star hotel last night in violation of quarantine laws.

The duo is set to be produced before Aluthkade Courts.

The police stated that the investigation revealed that nearly 20 to 25 persons have attended the party.

DIG Ajith Rohana further stated that steps are being taken to identify the others who attended the party by investigating the security camera footage at the hotel.
