Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara Chief Incumbent appointed Kelaniya University Chancellor

Chief Incumbent of the Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara Ven. Kollupitiye Mahinda Sangharakkhitha Thera has been appointed as the Chancellor of the Kelaniya University.

Previously, Ven. Sangharakkhitha Thera held the post as the Head of the Buddhist and Pali Faculty of the University of Kelaniya.

Educated at the Royal College, Colombo, He was born to Appuhami Dassanayake and Podihamine Dassanayake of Kollupitiya, Colombo. He is the fifth in the family of four brothers and two sisters.
