The Piliyandala OIC said that Pushpika de Silva, a dethroned Mrs. Sri Lanka 2021, has been summoned to the Piliyandala Police Station at 10 am tomorrow.
The OIC further said that Pushpika de Silva had been summoned to the Piliyandala Police Station to obtain a statement regarding the pelt and excrement attack on journalist Chamuditha Samarawickrema's house in Piliyandala on the 14th of February 2022.
Earlier Journalist Chamuditha Samarawickrema had conducted an interview with this dethroned beauty queen.
There she revealed a number of controversial issues regarding the Mrs World Beauty Contest and the local organizers who participated in it.
Following the interview, Rosy Senanayake, Sri Lanka's first Mrs world, filed a writ petition against her, alleging that her reputation had been tarnished by the comments made during the interview.
Through this, she demanded a compensation of five hundred million rupees from Pushpika de Silva.
The Piliyandala OIC further stated that if there is any information that she knows about the attack on the house of journalist Chamuditha Samarawickrema during the interrogation that will take place tomorrow, she intends to obtain details regarding it.
