
Minister of Justice and National Integration, Harshana Nanayakkara, is scheduled to depart for Geneva, Switzerland, tomorrow (23) morning to participate in the first periodic review of Sri Lanka by the Committee on Enforced Disappearances.
The review meeting is set to take place on September 26, 2025. Senior officials from the Ministry of Justice and National Integration, the Attorney General's Department, the Office on Missing Persons, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Employment and Tourism, and Sri Lanka's Permanent Mission in Geneva will also attend.
According to the Ministry of Justice and National Integration, Sri Lanka has been a party to the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance since 2016.
