A themed park intended to draw foreign tourists will occupy a 10-acre land plot adjacent to Gregory Lake in Nuwara Eliya. This development follows a recommendation by a special committee tasked with identifying uses for idle Urban Development Authority (UDA) land. The Cabinet approved the proposal to lease the site on the Dun bypass road for a 50-year term through international competitive procurement.

The Minister of Transport, Highways, and Urban Development submitted the proposal to secure a suitable investor for the long-term development of this 10-acre, 3-rood, and 28-perch area.
