Every Wednesday declared a government holiday

Every Wednesday will function as a holiday for government offices, schools, universities, and judicial services, according to the Commissioner General of Essential Services.

This special measure excludes critical sectors such as health, ports, water supply, energy, and customs.

All state functions remain suspended until further notice, and the Commissioner General has requested the private sector to similarly declare Wednesdays as a holiday.

To support production, authorities will assess the specific fuel needs of the tourism, agriculture, health, and plantation sectors to issue additional fuel quotas accordingly.

Outside of the Wednesday closure, the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration noted that ministry secretaries and heads of state institutions hold the authority to decide how to manage staff during the remaining four working days.
