Showers or thunderstorms likely occur in parts of the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as the Galle, Matara, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, and Puttalam districts after 2:00 p.m. today (25), according to a statement by the Department of Meteorology.
Mainly fair weather prevails over the rest of the island.
Misty conditions may develop during the early morning in some areas of the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, and North Central provinces, and the Galle, Matara, and Kurunegala districts.
The public is requested to take necessary precautions to minimize risks from temporary strong winds and lightning during thunderstorms.
