A seven-year-old swimmer named Ishank from Ranchi, India, set a new world record by crossing the challenging maritime boundary between Sri Lanka and India at a very young age.
This talented swimmer from the Dhurwa area in Ranchi recorded this historic victory by swimming a distance of nearly 29 kilometres across the Palk Strait from Talaimannar in Sri Lanka to Dhanushkodi in India in a short time of 9 hours and 50 minutes.
According to reports, he holds the new world record as the youngest swimmer in the world to cross this sea route.
