Spillway gates of 9 major reservoirs opened

The Irrigation Department says sluice gates at nine major reservoirs and five medium-scale reservoirs were opened due to the current rainy weather conditions.

Among those reservoirs, six sluice gates at Lunugamvehera, six at Veheragala, eight at Rajanganaya, four at Deduru Oya, and three at Alikota Ara are currently open.
