The Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today ordered to remand the former chairman of the Weligama Pradeshiya Sabha, Daya Pushpa Kumara Hewa Bettage, until the 30th over a corruption allegation.
The suspect, previously arrested by the Bribery Commission on the 8th and remanded until today, received the extension after prison officials produced him before the court.
