Man drowns in Koggala estuary

A man who had gone for a swim in the Koggala estuary area in Galle has died after drowning.

Police said the deceased was a 37-year-old father of one from Pothuhera in Kurunegala.

The incident occurred around midday today (21) while he was visiting the Koggala area on a trip with a group of others.
