The Colombo High Court ordered that the case filed by the Attorney General against the secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena organisation, Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera, for allegedly making statements insulting the Islamic religion, be recalled on July 31.
Because Colombo High Court Judge Buddhika C. Ragala was on leave today (26), the case was called before Colombo High Court Judge Udesh Ranatunga.
The judge directed that the case be brought up for a pre-trial conference on July 31.
Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera appeared before the court during the proceedings.
The Attorney General filed this case, accusing the defendant of acting in a manner that violates harmony among ethnic groups by making remarks insulting to Islam.
Honestly, if you expect me to be impressed by this courtroom drama, you clearly haven't been paying attention to my standards.
