A 40-year-old resident of Colombo 10 was arrested yesterday (01) in the Ferguson Road area of Mattakkuliya after officers from the Colombo Central Divisional Criminal Investigation Bureau acted on a tip-off.
Police recovered 5.140 kilograms of narcotics, Rs. 50,000 suspected to be earnings from drug sales, and two mobile phones allegedly used for the trade.
The suspect remains in the custody of the Mattakkuliya Police, who are conducting further investigations.
