12-hour water cut for parts of Colombo

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board announces a 12-hour water cut for various areas tomorrow, Saturday, July 4, from 9 am to 9 pm.

Affected locations include Colombo 01 through 15, Battaramulla, Pelawatta, Hokandara, Koswatta, Thalawathugoda, Kotte, Rajagiriya, Mirihana, Madiwela, Nugegoda, Nawala, Kolonnawa, IDH, Kotikawatta, Mulleriyawa, Wellampitiya, Orugodawatta, Kaduwela, Maharagama, Boralesgamuwa, and Piliyandala.

This disruption results from essential maintenance at the Mulleriyawa power substation, which necessitates a power cut to the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant.

Additional improvement work at the Dehiwala and Maligawatta Eli House pumping stations also contributes to the suspension. The Board expresses regret for the inconvenience caused.
