Iranian interior minister arrives in Pakistan

‎Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni has arrived in Pakistan, according to the Pakistani Foreign Ministry.

Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi welcomed Momeni and a delegation of Iranian officials at the airport, according to a Foreign Ministry statement, telling him that he hoped Momeni “brought good news.”

“We also hope for progress on the regional solution,” Naqvi added.

Iran’s state-run Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) earlier reported that Momeni is expected to discuss bilateral ties, including “economic, transit and agricultural cooperation” between Iran and Pakistan during his one-day visit to Islamabad.
