Lanka Sathosa reduces prices of 11 essential items

Prices of 11 essential items were reduced by Lanka Sathosa with effect from today.

The price of a kilogram of red onions was reduced by 71 rupees, red lentils by 18 rupees, and chickpeas by 08 rupees, the Ministry of Trade stated.

In addition, prices of red raw rice, big onions, potatoes, local nadu rice, white sugar, wheat flour, and canned fish were reduced.

Consumers can purchase these goods at concessionary rates across all Lanka Sathosa outlets, the Ministry of Trade added.
