New governor of Central Province takes oath before President

Retired community physician, Specialist Dr. Harsha Suranga Fernando, who was appointed as the new Governor of the Central Province, took oaths before President Anura Kumara Dissanayake this afternoon (05) at the President's Office.

He has served at World Health Organisation as a specialist doctor on immunisation in several countries, and as a Kandy district community medical specialist.
