Bakchoe Saman refuses to attend mother's funeral

Nirmala Prasanga, also known as 'Backhoe Saman', who is in prison, refused to attend the funeral and pay his last respects to his mother who was shot and killed, prison sources said.

His mother died in a shooting by an unknown gunman in the Middeniya area on the night of August 12, and ongoing investigations revealed that this attack was directed by 'Karandeniye Sudda' as revenge for the murder of 'Ganemulle Sanjeewa'.

Police suspect that Karandeniye Sudda previously threatened the deceased mother not to go to the prison to visit Backhoe Saman's wellbeing, and her visit to her son ignoring the threats was a strong reason for this murder, the Police suspected.
